Content Processing with OmniMark

Why?

OmniMark is a powerful streaming programming language for developing industry-proof content engineering applications. For a developer who wants to learn more about OmniMark, this course is the ideal starting point to initiate you into the OmniMark streaming paradigm, its possibilities and its syntax.

Course Outline

This intensive 3-day course is designed to introduce the participants to the principles of the OmniMark programming language and its associated syntax. Through a mixture of classroom instruction, hands-on lab exercises and question and answer sessions, participants will learn how to:

• develop streaming-based applications
• use OmniMark's strong pattern-matching capabilities for text processing
• invoke the OmniMark parser and use OmniMark for XML context management
• process XML information based upon OmniMark's XML processing capabilities
• use OmniMark's referent mechanism to build hyperlinking and information re-ordering constructions

After the three days, the participants will be able to:

• apply streaming technology to information transformation applications
• analyze and extract information using OmniMark's pattern-matching capabilities
• initiate event-driven XML processing
• reorder information efficiently using OmniMark's patented referents mechanism
