Travel Guide to LeuvenGetting HereA map of Leuven has been provided for those coming by car. Detailed instructions are given for those coming from Li�ge and Brussels as well as the Brussels Airport). If you are planning to fly into Belgium, you will find the Brussels Airport website helpful. It includes information on arrivals, departures, service providers, and much more. The official website of the Belgian Railway is another useful resource. Classroom NotesCourses are taught by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven on behalf of Stilo. Established in December 1425, K.U. Leuven is the oldest university in the Low Countries and the oldest Catholic university in the world. With a student population of about 27,000 and more than 4,000 professors and researchers, the university is a centre of top-level science and technology in Europe. The course takes place in room 00.12 of the LUDIT building on the K.U. Leuven campus. Class commences at 09h00. daily and ends at 17h30 every day except the final day, when classes conclude at 17h00. Each student will be provided with a computer to use for course exercises during class time. You are welcome to bring along your laptop if you prefer. Electronic course materials will be made available for PC platforms. If you need to make telephone calls during the course, please be sure to bring a mobile telephone of your own or be prepared to use a pay phone as public phones are not available on campus. There are several locations to eat at during your course breaks. Although most allow you to pay electronically, it is a good idea to take some cash with you as well. Please remember to make arrangements for transportation to and from your hotel. Normally the hotel will be able to help you. ParkingAmple free parking is available on the university campus. AccommodationsFirst, a friendly reminder: hotel reservations are the responsibility of individual course participants.
