Declaration

  define external output function FTPConnectionRemoteOutputFile
                          value FTPConnection this-FTPConnection
                   file   value stream remote-filename

This is an external output function used to send data to a remote file on an FTP server. The FTP connection is locked during the lifetime of the output object. The error inquiry functions, and the close method are allowed.

To use this function, you must include the following line near the start of your program:

  include "omftp.xin"

Arguments:

• "this-FTPConnection" is an OMX component of type FTPConnection.
• "remote-filename" is the name you want the file to have on the FTP server.

Examples:

  ; send a file to the server
  set FTPConnectionRemoteOutputFile MyCon file "test.out" to
      file "testfile1.txt"

  ; send data to a file on the FTP server using a stream attachment
  open s as FTPConnectionRemoteOutputFile MyCon file "test2.out"
  using output as s do
     output date "=xD/=xM/=xY:" || "%n"
     output "this data is going into the remote file%n"
     output "here's some more data for the file%n"
  done
  close s ; close ends the file transmission
