If you did not install the license manager as a service

Under the Windows NT platform, we recommend that FLEXlm be installed as a service. The FLEXlm Setup program automatically installs FLEXlm as a service, unless the option is specifically de-selected during a Custom Install.

If you choose not to install FLEXlm as a service during installation, you may install it as a service at a later date by doing the following steps:

1. Launch the FLEXlm Setup program.
2. Reinstall to the directory in which FLEXlm was previously installed. This is important!
3. Choose Custom Install.
4. Ensure that only the "Install License Manager as a Service" item is selected for installation.
5. Click the "Next" button, and follow the online instructions. This will install FLEXlm as a service.
