SGML and XML comments appear between "com" delimiters (usually "--" (double dash)). Markup comments can appear in any declaration, including the USEMAP and marked section declarations that can be used in a document instance. They can also occur in declarations of their own, in what are called SGML comment declarations.
OmniMark provides the markup-comment rule for processing SGML and XML comments.
