Return type: opaque Returns: The tangent of a floating point number.

Declaration

     tan value float x

Use tan to calculate the tangent of an angle in radians. The angle must be a floating point number. This trigonometric function works the same way as its equivalent in the C math library.

Out-of-range values return "not a number" (NaN).

Example:
