| function | tcp.single-packet |
| Library: TCP/IP client and server support (OMTCP) Import: omtcp.xmd | Return type: opaque Returns: Returns an I/O protocol object that implements the single-packet protocol. |
define external tcp.io-protocol function tcp.single-packet
This function is used to implement the single-packet protocol. In this protocol, data is packaged into a single-length encoded packet. The packet is prefixed with its length. The length is the number of bytes in the packet represented as a 32-bit network-ordered quantity.
You cannot use this protocol to derive a sink from a connection object. To do so, use tcp.put-string from the TCP/IP library.
