Library: Shift JIS (OMFFSJIS)
Import: omffsjis.xmd |
export external string sink function writer
into value string sink output-data
Use writer to accept UTF-8 encoded data and write that data to a value string sink, its argument, converted from a UTF-8 encoding to a Shift-JIS encoding. That is, the program writes UTF-8, but the provided output receives Shift-JIS.
To use omffsjis, you must import it into your program using a statement like this:
import "omffsjis.xmd" prefixed by sjis.
; Write a Shift-JIS-encoded file named by the first command-line
; argument using the stream named "output-file". Convert
; the data from UTF-8 to Shift-JIS prior to writing it to the file.
import "omffsjis.xmd" prefixed by sjis.
process
local stream output-file
open output-file as sjis.writer into file #args [1]
